I came to Robert’s office less than 3 months ago ready to give it one last try at saving my house. The bank had denied me several times for a modification, and I was at the brink of having my home of 10 years foreclosed.
Robert advised me that as a result of my new job I would be able to reapply for a loan modification since in the past the bank had denied me because I didn’t have enough income. I felt so comfortable in the way he fully explained the process and what he and his office could do to help me save my home that I didn’t hesitate to get started with him. In a matter of hours from the time I hired Robert’s office, Ana or one of the other assistants called me and sent me a list of documents that the attorney needed to send the request to the bank and I started working on the documents they needed. I brought everything within a couple of days and his office staff went through all the documents and they were so meticulous that we get a complete package that I had to go back a day later to bring documents I had forgotten. I didn’t mind the trip because they made me understand the importance of having everything we needed before sending it to my bank. One more day to get a complete packet is better than weeks of going back and forth with the bank for missing documents.
After we got all the forms and documents done, Robert sent out the paperwork they had prepared, and I was told to wait until his office contacted me with any updated. I could tell from the process so far that Robert and his staff knew exactly what they were doing. And I was right to think that because not two weeks had passed before I got a call from his office giving me the best news a man can hear prior to Christmas, my bank had FINALLY APPROVED me for a modification and I can finally sleep knowing I was given a shot to keep my house. I rarely write reviews but I am so happy with the service Mr.Stiberman has given me and the blessing that it is to know that what I once considered a lost cause is now a reality for me and my family.
These guys know what they’re doing and the professionalism and attention they have brought to my cause and I’m sure everyone else they represent is second to none. I’m so thankful and will definitely coming back or recommend to anyone that needs help with their home.

It’s a great feeling to be debt free & have my house!!. Not all attorneys are created equal and now that I’m almost done, I’m happy to share my experience! I came to Robert’s office after my own mother was trying to foreclose and take away my home. I thought I had no way out since I had gone to other attorneys who didn’t help me get out of the mess I was in. But Robert reviewed my case and told me Chapter 13 Bankruptcy was the best way to make sure I paid what I owed my mother over a several years. And here I am, 2 years in and completely stress free. When I first called Stiberman Law office i was in a lot of debt. From the beginning they gave me confidence that i could get back on my feet financially and I DID !!! I went through a chapter 7 and my process was very smooth. They were always in constant communication with me and are very professional in all aspects. I would recommend this law firm to anyone considering filing for bankruptcy and feel helpless as i did. 100% recommended.
I was referred by a friend who had used their services before. I met with Robert at his office and had a list of questions for him. I wanted to know about Chapter 11 and 7. Robert greeted me asked me a few questions to evaluate my case, went through all my questions and gave me his recommendation. I had met with other attorneys but none of them had the patience to sit down with me and explain the bankruptcy process. We also discussed alternatives to Bankruptcy and whether they made any sense for me or not. In my mind I wanted to file a Chapter 11 which I later learned that my case was either a Chapter 7 or Chapter 13. I ended up retaining Robert’s firm for a Chapter 13 and I couldn’t be happier with my decision. They were professional from the moment they picked up my first phone call to schedule the appointment. I arrived a little early to my appointment and to my surprise I met with the attorney without having to wait. I have to say that considering filing for bankruptcy was not easy for me and I am glad that I met Robert who not only advised me but also treated me like a human being who was not doing anything wrong. Robert even explained that he never thought he would be a Bankruptcy attorney and that through time he saw that people fall into financial distress due to circumstances beyond their control. I am sure my case or my reasons for filing are not unique. I was looking for relief. I needed a solution I had to figure out a way to save my home. After being in the hospital several times and not being able to make my mortgage payments i was at the point of loosing my house. I honestly didn’t think there were options to allow me to catch up with my mortgage and save my house. But Robert carefully explained what a Chapter 13 would do for me. He explained that without needing my mortgage company’s approval, i could get a shot of repaying what i owed over 60 months!! That was exactly what i was looking for but was never given the option through my mortgage directly.
Robert’s staff was always helpful in following up on all my documentation. Not once when I called did I ever get an answering service or busy signals. Someone always answered the phone. Prior to meeting with the bankruptcy trustee the office reminded me what I needed to take and to make sure not to take my cell phone to court. I actually saw people having to go back to their cars to leave their cell phones. Little things like that help in making a stressful situation more pleasant. Robert was waiting for me when I got there (I saw some other folks looking for their attorney). I have to admit I was very nervous but he (Robert) was calm. He said not to worry, he verified that I brought my social security card and ID, and explained to me that the Trustee was going to ask me some questions and that meeting shouldn’t take longer than 3 minutes. His calmness and energy put my fears at ease. When my name was called it was exactly as Robert said, I answered the Trustee’s questions (who was very nice) and then Robert congratulated me and told me everything went very well. Here’s the thing, he didn’t have to take the extra step of being nice. I have to admit, I walked in fearful and nervous and walked out feeling great. (Not that I would want to ever file Bankruptcy again).
When I got home I got a call from Robert’s office, I think it was Anna or Ana who reminded me to take the second credit counseling course and to call the office when I had taken it to make sure they sent it to the Court. Truly a professional experience and they even helped me set up my account to make my payments online. This office surpassed my expectations and I’m glad I came to them for help!
